Our Philosophy
At the Newkeys School of Music, our philosophy of excellence informs the teaching methodology that we have developed to reflect our vision for our students. This methodology is built upon three foundational pillars:
• PERSONALISATION of lessons to ensure a student’s individuality is celebrated as an advantage and not as a limitation. Our programs are structured for consistency, but we do not believe they serve any purpose until we understand how to effectively tailor them to each student’s unique needs and abilities.
• CONNECTION with the music is a student’s highest and most important commitment to the craft. While we strive for technical excellence, we also believe that our biggest responsibility to our students is to inspire the formation of a meaningful relationship with their music that will them last a lifetime.
• PROGRESSION is possible only with genuine accountability. What does not get measured, does not get managed. We stand behind the necessity of having a robust evaluation process in place to ensure our students’ efforts are paying off only where it matters the most.
